SAHCA Advocacy Support Service (SASS)

SAHCA provides a support service offering informal assistance for members in their role as an advocate. The aim is to make available confidential support from experienced advocates who will be available to talk through and discuss queries or concerns that may arise during advocacy practice, for instance during upcoming or current trials and hearings. One of the key roles of the service will be to lend a friendly ear to discuss any queries in confidence.

Login to see the contact details to access the service as a SAHCA member.

The service will be run by volunteer members of the SAHCA committee and will cover both civil and criminal areas of work. The support service will be free for SAHCA members.

The service will initially be provided via email and/or call back by telephone and aims to be sufficiently flexible to be available at times that are convenient for SAHCA members. Depending upon members views a weekly “drop-in” may well be practicable in the future.

If you have a query, concern or would welcome a second thought on an aspect of your advocacy then login as a member to access the helpline.
